What to do if your child displays Covid symptoms

10 July 2020 (by admin)

Dear families,

There have been no cases of coronavirus at Anderton Park, this letter is just to help you know what to do if your child does develop coronavirus symptoms (persistent cough for longer than 1 hour, a change or loss in taste or small, a high temperature over 37.5C)

If your child displays any of the above, you must not send them into school. Instead, book them a test for coronavirus, visit or contact NHS 119 on a telephone.

You must keep your child isolated at home until you have had the results of the test.

If the result is negative: you do not have coronavirus, but you must show us the test result before your child returns to school (you can email this is to

If the result is positive: you do have coronavirus and your child must now self- isolate for 7 days and all the members of your household must self-isolate for 14 days.

Please tell school immediately on 0121 4641581 or email so that we can send the whole group home to self-isolate.

Again, this is just for information - there have been no cases of Coronavirus at Anderton Park Primary.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mrs Hewitt-Clarkson
